Yoga Academy (YA) 400 Out of Town Students Part Time Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training – including RYT200.
Responding to the pressing requests for out of town training we have developed a 400 hour Teacher Training Course that includes the Yoga Alliance 200 hour RYT Certificate and the Yoga Academy 400 hour Certificate YA400.
200 hours of the course is online with the final 200 hours taught in a three week block course at the Yoga Academy.
Defintion of out of town: Albany north and Takakini in the south of Auckland.
The aim of the Yoga Academy’s Teacher Training Course is to begin to develop qualified instructors in the Ashtanga Yoga field.
Alongside the wisdom imparted, trainee yoga teachers are taught business and life skills that will equip them with the tools to develop both spiritually and professionally.
The initial 200 hours of online training is primarily led by Hui Zhang (ERYT500) accompanied by Jude Hynes (ERYT500 YACEP) Training Director and Ben Seymour (RYT500). The three week block course, held at the Auckland Yoga Academy, is led by Jude accompanied by Hui, Peter Nilsson (ERYT500 YACEP) and Vicki Soper (ERYT500).
Consisting of 400 hours, this six month long course includes both practical and theoretical training. This course is an asset to those not only looking to train as a yoga teacher, but for individuals looking to deepen their practice and understanding of the Yoga teachings.
The absolute best course I could have possibly imagined to do. 6 months of anatomy, philosophy, technical details, deep practice, adjustments and love. An experience I will never forget.
The competence of each teacher is incredible. They passed a huge amount of knowledge to me without ever making me feel overwhelmed. They made the learning fun and interesting.
My practice has fully changed. I have developed a beautiful connection with myself and I’ve learnt to be here, right now. Knowing my mind and being able to control it is a pretty amazing tool in order to find happiness and peace within.
When I started studying with them I only wanted to be able to do the most advanced postures, reason why at that point I had knees and hip issues. Thanks to them, I have understood that practice is not that; practice is stepping back, taking care of myself, listening to what my body is telling me. I have learnt to apply my anatomical knowledge and to practice awareness during each movement. And eventually overcome those issues.
They made me love this wonderful lifestyle even more.
During the 3 weeks block course I have had the pleasure to hug and fully enjoy every member of the Auckland Yoga Academy community, which has become like a family to me. People I’ll always have in my heart. I can’t explain how loved, supported and encouraged they have made me feel.
This experience has improved so many aspects of my life and changed (in better) the way I look/live the world around me.
I’m grateful for this path and I’m even more grateful for finding my teachers and mates on the way.
If you’re thinking about doing a yoga teacher training, this is your best bet.
